Sauna KFF is a portable, floating sauna and swim zone currently located at Fisketorvet in the south of the city. It was developed in collaboration with the municipality of Copenhagen to provide a safe swimming area and an open public sauna for the cities residents and visitors.
The Danish maritime architecture studio MAST collaborated with the Municipality of Copenhagen on the design and construction of the combined floating public sauna and harbour bath, which will soon open to the public. The sauna can comfortably fit 15 guests and has a large panoramic window facing the water which offers a unique perspective across the harbour.
Opening to the public in Autumn 2023, the project is another small step in MAST’s mission to reconnect cities to the sea in a sustainable and climate resilient way. A second sauna is currently under construction and scheduled to open toward the end of the year.
