MAST receives honourable mention in Realdania´s Stedet Tæller X´ competition

Our vision was to create a recreational fjørd park that reconnects the people of Hadsund with the rich nature and cultural heritage of the fjord. Brolandingen is intended to be more than just a park; it will be an experiential destination that offers new opportunities to get close to the fjord and learn about its role in Hadsund's history.

Ecological restoration is the cornerstone of the project, which aims to restore parts of the coastline to their original tidal wetland conditions. This will create small protected lagoons and stone reefs, thereby re-establishing lost habitats for a diversity of unique plants and animals. The rocky outcrops, made from the old stones of the original bridge, narrate the history of Brolandingen's past and its central role in Hadsund's history. Simultaneously, these outcrops, along with the absorbent landscape, will provide storm surge protection, reducing the risk of flooding.
