Platform C

Platform C

'Platform C' Is a new public space that lies in a quiet corner of the moat that surrounds the city of Copenhagen. It has been designed to provide public access to the waterfront for launching kayaks, swimming or just relaxing with a coffee and friends.

The space is modular and replicable so it can be installed at different locations around Copenhagen or Internationally.

The design includes a protective semi-circular bench with a high back to protect from the wind. It has been inspired by traditional danish boat building techniques and has been hand built in the boatbuilding yards of southern Copenhagen.

The construction is composed from 900 metres of danish oak slats which pivot around a centre and creates an open crystaline structure.
